E4D Crowns and Bridges

E4D Crowns and Bridges at Rowan Family DentistryWhen teeth become damaged, they are at an increased risk of being lost. This can be scary for many of our patients, especially when the future of their tooth is suddenly uncertain. A crown can save a severely damaged tooth, helping preserve it. A bridge, on the other hand, is a great option for a person who did need to have a tooth removed. For both groups of patients, however, getting a crown and a bridge used to be a multi-week process, requiring impressions, unsightly temporary crowns and bridges, and embarrassing gaps in your smile. Fortunately, we here at Rowan Family Dentistry are proud to offer E4D crowns and bridges to our patients, reducing their downtime and embarrassment when they need either a new bridge or crown in their mouth.

The Benefits of Using E4D Technology for Crowns and Bridges

When a tooth becomes damaged or requires a root canal, we often like to fit a crown over the tooth to help prolong its lifespan. However, that's a laborious process and can take several weeks to properly fit a custom crown over your affected tooth. Normally for our patients who require a crown, we would have to take an impression of your tooth, send it to a lab, and wait for it to come back. During that time, our patients would have to wear a temporary crown while they waited for their permanent crown to return from the lab.

Now, using E4D technology, we can complete the entire process in just one day, giving our patients a brand-new crown in just a matter of a few hours. Using CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing), we're able to cut out the middle person and manufacture your crown in-house, returning it to you the same day of your initial appointment. Our office uses cutting-edge digital scanners and computer technology to give you the highest quality dental crown. Not only is it faster, the fit is better and more comfortable, restoring our patients smile in as little as a few hours!

The same benefits of E4D technology for crowns can also be applied to bridges. The process is quite similar, as well. Before we had E4D technology, we would have to use sticky impressions, and our patients would have to wait for their bridge to return to us. Again, they would have to wait several weeks and endure the discomfort and embarrassment of a temporary bridge. After their bridge would return, there would be a series of fittings, which could cause further delays. Now, we can go straight to manufacturing their bridge, finalizing our patient's fitting in just a few hours, giving them custom and attractive fit.

If you have a severely damaged tooth that may require a crown, or you're missing a tooth and require a bridge, E4D technology can greatly benefit you. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to schedule multiple appointments for a bridge or a crown and taking time off work can be a great burden. Instead, E4D can get you in and out in just a single appointment, giving you back your beautiful smile. If you want to learn more about E4D technology, or you are interested in scheduling a consultation for a same-day crown or bridge, please give us a call here at Rowan Family Dentistry at (662) 598-0155 today for an appointment with our skilled and capable dental staff.
